Looking at his attributes, they fall a little below the average marksman, like Claude, but Granger’s abilities make up for the gap in basic attributes.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE SKILLS:
Caprice (Passive) – Granger can shoot six bullets at a time with the 6th bullet dealing critical damage (because 6 is his lucky number). The downside is that he only gains half of the attack speed from equipment and emblems.

Rhapsody (Skill 1) – Granger shoots all his bullets forward with each bullet dealing 30 / 56 / 82 / 108 / 134 / 160 (+70% Total Physical Attack)points of Physical Damage against enemies. Caprice will still apply to the last attack hit of his first skill, and it will guarantee critical damage.

Rondo (Skill 2) – Granger blinks in the selected direction, and his next two basic attacks will deal extra 10% damage. Each bullet that will hit the enemy will reduce the skills cooldown by 0.4 seconds. Rondo and Rhapsody are a combo that provide Granger the ability to chase enemy heroes or to deal damage while retreating.

Death Sonata (Ultimate) – Granger transforms his violin into a long-range weapon with three super bullets. For 4 seconds, he will shoot the super bullets forward. The super bullets will ignore all minions and only affect enemy heroes. Upon impact, super bullets deal 150/200/250 (+100% Total Physical Attack) points of Physical Damage to enemies and slows their movement by 80%. Each time Granger shoots a super bullet, he can move to another location to change his angle of attack or to chase down retreating enemies.

RECOMMENDED EMBLEM, SPELL, AND EQUIPMENT:

The recommended emblem for Granger would be the Marksman Emblem with the Weakness Finder. It will go well with his high attack speed and physical damage.

Sprint is the recommended spell for the Death Chanter for chase downs and strategic retreats. If you want to be experimental, you can always try redemption, flicker, or aegis.

For equipment, the recommended set includes Swift Boots, Berserker Fury, Windtalker, Haas’ Claws, Scarlet Phantom, and Blade of Despair.

There are a lot of things that could go wrong when executing a combo with Granger’s skills, and that is why his difficulty level is ranked so high. It will require a ton of practice and patience to master the Death Chanter, so do not be surprised to see Granger in all your pub games in the days to come.
